Ensure the reliability of your gas system with contract-based service
With a signed service agreement, you’ll receive scheduled maintenance and priority support from our service technicians in the event of urgent downtime.
Contract-based service, in-house workshop, and emergency maintenance
Örebro Gasteknik AB offers customized service agreements for regular safety inspections and maintenance of industrial energy gas facilities.
Through scheduled inspections, we ensure the facility’s service life, high operational reliability, and compliance with regulations set by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), the Swedish Work Environment Authority, and applicable insurance terms and conditions.
Preventive Maintenance and Safety Inspections
Regular functional testing, leak testing, and inspection of the entire gas system—including vaporizers, pressure regulators, solenoid valves, and gas alarms—in accordance with Energigas Sverige and EGN (the Energigas Standard).
In-house workshop for valve reconditioning
Refurbishment, seat inspection, opening pressure adjustment, and pressure testing of safety valves with traceable test documentation in our own workshop.
Emergency Service and Troubleshooting
Rapid on-site responses and emergency repairs via our fully equipped service vehicles in Närke, the Mälardalen region, and Central Sweden to minimize costly downtime during unplanned outages.
What is included in a safety and service inspection?
During a scheduled inspection, our service technicians check the entire gas system in accordance with current Energigas Sverige and EGN guidelines:
Leak Testing and Leak Detection
Systematic inspection of pipes, valves, flanges, and fittings.
Safety Valves & Pressure Relief
Functional test, seat inspection, and opening pressure test.
Gas Detection & Emergency Shutdown
Testing and calibration of gas detectors, as well as testing of automatic solenoid valves.
Evaporators & Control Equipment
Inspection of vaporizer capacity, electric heaters, pressure regulators, and filter units.
Instrumentation & Measurement Equipment
Inspection of pressure gauges, sensors, and alarm panels.
Critical spare parts for minimal downtime
To minimize production downtime, we stock original spare parts and wear parts for the market's leading manufacturers of energy gas equipment:
-
Gasket kits and diaphragm kits for pressure regulators.
-
Replacement valves, safety valves, and solenoid valves.
-
Filter elements and sensors for gas alarms.
-
Our service technicians carry the most common replacement parts with them in their service vehicles for both scheduled visits and emergency callouts.
Traceable documentation for government agencies and insurance companies
After completing the inspection, Örebro Gasteknik AB provides a complete digital service report. The report details all inspection points checked, any identified nonconformities, corrective actions taken, and test certificates for workshop-remanufactured safety valves. This documentation provides you with peace of mind during inspections by the Fire Department, the Swedish Work Environment Authority, and during insurance audits.
Frequently Asked Questions About Service and Maintenance
Regular safety inspections identify wear, micro-leaks, and component failures in pressure regulators, safety valves, and gas detectors before they cause unplanned downtime or accidents. In addition to protecting personnel and the facility, safety inspections are required under the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations on pressurized equipment (AFS), the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency’s (MSB) rules for flammable goods, and are a requirement in most industrial insurance policies.
As a general rule, industrial facilities should undergo a complete safety inspection and preventive maintenance at least once a year in accordance with Energigas Sverige and EGN (the Energigas Standard). For facilities in continuous operation with high flow rates (such as large vaporization stations or industrial furnaces), it is recommended to perform a semi-annual inspection of wear components, a leak test, and a test of gas alarms and emergency shut-off valves.
A comprehensive inspection includes checking the tightness of piping systems and connections, testing the function and seat of safety valves, calibrating and testing gas alarms and detectors, testing automatic solenoid valves for emergency shutdown, and performing a mechanical inspection of vaporizers and pressure regulators. Everything is documented in a traceable service report.
Safety valves are the plant’s final line of defense against excessive pressure. During servicing, valves that require calibration are disassembled and taken to our in-house workshop. There, they undergo cleaning, seat refurbishment, opening pressure adjustment, and pressure testing on approved test benches before being reinstalled with the corresponding test certificates.
Customers with a service contract receive priority troubleshooting and an agreed-upon response time. Our certified service technicians travel in specially equipped service vehicles carrying spare parts, gasket kits, and measuring instruments to quickly perform troubleshooting and repairs on-site in Närke, Mälardalen, and the rest of Central Sweden.
